Who I Am

Scrum Master, business coach, and private investor with experience across multiple industries: transport, government services, med‑tech, start-ups, and financial services, including working within FTSE 100 companies.

Professionally trained ICF coach with a PG Cert in Business Coaching and multiple advanced Scrum credentials, including Professional Scrum Master 3 (PSM III) - a credential achieved by only a small number of practitioners worldwide. I’m an advocate for Agile Leadership (CAL1) helping all layers of an organisation, and I hold certifications in product ownership, product discovery and validation, system modelling, and scaled Scrum.

I work with teams and organisations to help them make better decisions, deliver better value sooner, and navigate change with clarity.

My work sits at the intersection of people, product, and systems to help organisations better understand how these elements connect and influence each other.

What I Care About

Decisions: How teams make decisions matters more than most people think. I'm interested in the structures, conversations, and feedback loops that lead to better choices.

Value: Products exist to create value. I care about how teams discover what's valuable, how they deliver it, and how they measure whether it's working.

Markets: Markets are information-processing systems. I'm fascinated by how they price uncertainty, how companies create competitive advantages, and how capital flows to opportunity.

How I Work

My approach is grounded in Agile practices and systems thinking. I believe that:

  • Teams perform best when they have clarity, autonomy, and fast feedback loops.
  • Products succeed when they're built around real user needs and validated through evidence.
  • Organisations change when they understand their constraints and design around them.

I work as a coach and facilitator, helping teams and leaders see their systems more clearly and make intentional improvements.

Investing

I'm a private investor. I share my thinking about markets and companies in my Market Diary, but nothing I write is financial advice. I am not regulated by the FCA, nor do I wish to be. This site is just a personal record of how I think about business models, companies and markets.
